Propolis inhibits IgE-mediated mast cell activation by suppressing SYK/MAPK signaling pathway

چکیده

Abstract Mast cells play a critical role in the effector phase of immediate hypersensitivity and allergic reactions. Propolis exerts multiple biological effects exhibits immunomodulatory antioxidant properties. However, its antidinitrophenyl (DNP) immunoglobulin E (IgE)-activated mast has not been investigated. In this study, we examined mechanism underlying inhibitory effect propolis (Unibee powder propolis, Uniquebiotech, Co., Ltd., Iksan) on DNP-IgE-mediated cell degranulation, with specific focus histamine cytokines release, using rat peritoneal cells. protected degranulation inhibited release triggered by anti-DNP IgE (RPMC) vitro. Interestingly, also decreased level TNF-a, IL-4, IL-13 released from IgE-activated RPMC. Moreover, SYK downstream-MAPK signaling pathway were suppressed RPMC incubation propolis. Together, these results suggest that extract effectively inhibits IgE-mediated anaphylaxis-like This research was supported 2022 Collaborative R&BD Program The Food Industry Promotional Agency Korea.

The Fyn-STAT5 Pathway: A New Frontier in IgE- and IgG-Mediated Mast Cell Signaling

Mast cells are central players in immune surveillance and activation, positioned at the host-environment interface. Understanding the signaling events controlling mast cell function, especially those that maintain host homeostasis, is an important and still less understood area of mast cell-mediated disease. With respect to allergic disease, it is well established that IgE and its high affinity...

Cytokinergic IgE Action in Mast Cell Activation

Some 10 years ago it emerged that at sufficiently high concentrations certain monoclonal mouse IgEs exert previously unsuspected effects on mast cells. Thus they can both promote survival and induce activation of mast cells without the requirement for antigens. This was a wake up call that appears to have been missed (or dismissed) by the majority of immunologists. The structural attributes res...

Toxoplasma gondii inhibits mast cell degranulation by suppressing phospholipase Cγ-mediated Ca2+ mobilization

Toxoplasma gondii is well-known to subvert normal immune responses, however, mechanisms are incompletely understood. In particular, its capacity to alter receptor-activated Ca(2+)-mediated signaling processes has not been well-characterized. In initial experiments, we found evidence that T. gondii infection inhibits Ca(2+) responses to fMetLeuPhe in murine macrophages. To further characterize t...
